Welcome to Romney Class
Romney Class is a Year 5 and 6 class and is taught by Mrs Moffat from Monday to Wednesday and by Mrs Eddy on Thursday and Friday.
Romneys class learn in a super, airy classroom with an amazing history. Did you know that it schooled up to 60 refugees during World War II? It is a great learning space where every child finds a place to shine.
Our class has a real passion for active learning – we take pride in learning how to be Young Leaders and setting the example of compassion and care to the rest of the school. Alongside this, we engage with rigorous academic learning following our rolling programme and provided by a teaching team of Mrs Eddy, Mrs Moffat, Susannah, Jessie and Nicola. Our teaching colleagues are a cheerful, collaborative and supportive team – always helping our pupils to enjoy and succeed with their learning.
We love our PE too – it does not have to be competitive. We have a real range of different opportunities and the experience days, where we try out new and less usual sports like wheelchair basketball, are fabulous! Don’t forget our swimming lessons and Wild swimming too. Alongside that, we have our constantly improving bookshelves and love of reading too – in our spacious reading corner. There is something for everyone in Romneys class and everyone is valued.
