Resources for Teachers

Want to share your pupils' PowerPoint presentations?

Below is a powerpoint presentation converted to a Flash object to enable the show to run via the web. For information visit the website at www.flashspring.com. This is a simple but brilliant piece of software that solves a whole raft of problems in one go.

Need to create a web based slide show of pupils's artwork or photos of a residential?

We use a fabulous little gizmo called Flashslideshowmaker. This is available free from www.flashslideshowmaker.com

Superb software, simple to use and great results. The trial version has a little link at the end of the show to advertise the product but that's the only price for a free piece of software.

Recording sounds for podcasts etc?

We've found two essential ingredients. Good software and a slghtly better microphone make all the difference.

Audacity is a free sound recorder software available from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It is simple to use, high quality, flexible and can be used without need to refer to any instructions. Most important of all, it's free.

The Logitech USB Microphone above is available for about £15 from many sources and to our ear, sounds a whole league better than the little stork mics that so may schools have currently.
