NATIONAL TRUST PARTNERSHIP
For the past three years we have been working alonside the National Trust on a variety of projects. This has culminated with the Footprint Project.
Last term we visited the new building in construction at St Catherine's near Windermere.
The slideshow above records our visit to the early stages of the straw bale building at the National Trust site St Catherine's. The building was designed to have a minimum environemntal impact and utilized renewable resources such as straw and recycled resources such as old car tyres. As part of the programme we worked with an artist Jac Scott and visited the lanfill site to see how much rubbish we throw away. Following the visit we created wall dispalys to help remind children and their families to use less water and reuse or recycle as much of their waster as possible.
