'Cloth is my Bread'
This term the school has been involved with the Kendal Motto Project . This is a Heritage Lottery funded project run by the Brewery Arts Centre and aims to encourge local children and adults to engage with and take pride in Kendal's textile heritage. The wool and cloth industries have played a crucial role in Kendal's development over the centuries and this project, through the use of historians, artefacts and professional artists, seeks to pull these fragments together. The school has been involved in a numer of activities over the term. Class 3 have made hats, Class 4 have been dancing and class 2 singing.
Class 3 worked hard to make these stunning hats. See below for a slide show giving a close up view of each hat.
